The crazies hinder the home team as much as, or more than, they help. The visiting team isn’t intimidated the crazies, they’re more motivated to ram it down their throats.

Let’s all face it - the kids at Cameron are no more beneficial to their team than the home crowd of any other basketball school. They are simply over-hyped more than any other crowd.

I know we, as fans, all want to believe we matter at the games. Honestly though, a visiting team is just as pumped up by a raucous crowd as the home team (even if only to shut them up).

Duke didn’t lose because the Crazies weren’t loud enough or even because their chants weren’t creative enough. They lost because they played a better team (twice).
